With the rising suicide rate amongst teens in the state of Utah, Dan Reynolds’ concern with the church’s policies sent him on a path for change. The film received the Hollywood Documentary Award at the 2018 Hollywood Film Awards and Best Documentary at the 2019 GLAAD Media Awards.
